How to you take care of your Kasabada Studio items?
Taking proper care of your Kasabada is essential if you want to ensure that your Kasabada Studio item will last you season after season. We advice to always read the washing label inside your Kasabada Studio items for the best care instructions. All of our items are pre-treated to prevent shrinkage, but additional shrinkage after washing is normal for 100% cotton. When worn, Cotton will also stretch out. This is also a natural quality of 100% cotton fiber.
How to wash your Kasabada Studio’s cotton items (flannel and poplin)
Washing
You can wash your cotton Kasabada Studio items in a washing machine, but there are some rules you need to follow:
- Use only cold or warm water (30 celsius) Never use hot water, due to additional shrinkage and colour fade.
- Use a gentle or delicate cycle.
- Use a gentle detergent free of enzymes, phosphates, and chlorine. This will help to keep your flannel soft.
- Wash the items inside out, to prevent the fibres from rubbing against each other. this prevents to fabric from thinning and pilling. (pilling will always occur, but it will keep it a minimum.
- Don't add too much items in your machine when washing. This will increase rubbing as well.
- Beware that Flannel will leave lints on other fabrics.
- Wash with similar colours.
- Be careful wit liquid softener, overtime it will clog and harden the soft flannel fibres. Try adding cup of vinegar or a soft natural fabric softener without harsh chemicals/
Drying
- We advice to airdry your cotton and flannel cotton items airdry. Using the dryer will cause additional shrinkage, colour fade and your items won't last as long due to thinning of fabric.
- Dry away from direct sunlight due to colour fading.
- Reshape whilst damp. Do not overstretch.
Ironing
